Business Analyst

Role Overview:
This Business Analyst role supports the entire project lifecycle—gathering and analyzing requirements, drafting functional specifications, coordinating with IT for implementation, and managing testing activities—primarily within equity derivatives workflows. Based in Hong Kong, the role involves liaising with front, middle, and back-office teams as well as IT and vendors to ensure successful project delivery aligned with business needs.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years’ experience in Capital Markets
• 5+ years’ experience in Business Analysis, especially within Capital Markets
• Strong knowledge of Equity and Equity Derivatives products, pricing, and trade lifecycle
• Experience working with structured products in an investment bank
• Proven ability to work directly with business partners (Sales, Trading, Front Office, Middle Office)
• Experience with external clients and vendors is advantageous
• Excellent analysis, organization, and communication skills
• Strong team-player with the ability to manage under stress
• Basic technical understanding (SQL, VBA, Python, Business Objects); development background or familiarity with 3-tier architecture preferred
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect, analyze, and document business requirements for migration and system enhancement projects
• Produce detailed functional specifications and ensure stakeholder sign-off before development
• Work closely with sponsors to inventory, clarify, and consolidate needs
• Perform impact and gap analysis, and support the definition of test strategies and plans
• Organize and execute User Acceptance Testing, including preparing test scenarios, documenting results, and obtaining sign-offs
• Liaise with IT teams and vendors to ensure feasibility, delivery, and timely resolution of issues
• Support post-implementation training, monitoring, and issue resolution
• Maintain records of system changes, incidents, and progress reports
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, including security and operational controls
• Communicate risks, issues, and project progress effectively to sponsors and stakeholders
• Contribute to permanent control policies, incident reporting, and adherence to BNPP’s compliance standards
• Promote project management methodology and uphold security best practices
