Business Control Manager

Role Overview:

The Business Control Manager is responsible for overseeing market risk management activities, including control, reporting, and analytics support. The role supports strategic decision-making through risk analysis, evaluates new products, and ensures compliance with relevant regulatory standards. It also involves working independently with stakeholders to refine risk policies and contribute to system projects.

Key Skills & Experience:

• University degree in Risk Management, Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of quantitative or validation experience in risk functions within a bank or financial services industry
• Solid knowledge of market risk management governance and frameworks, including policy enhancement and daily control processes
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as FRTB and IRRBB (highly preferred)
• Sound understanding of fixed income, interest rate, FX, commodity, and related derivatives
• CFA and/or FRM certification (preferred)
• Proficiency in Excel VBA, SQL, and Python (considered a significant advantage)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily market risk controls, reporting, and analytics support
• Deliver risk analysis on treasury activities to aid strategic decisions
• Conduct risk-based evaluations of new products, reviewing pricing models, assumptions, and limitations
• Collect and interpret rules and regulations from local and mainland regulatory authorities
• Review in-house risk policies and procedures in line with statutory requirements
• Drive system implementation and enhancement projects
• Work independently to resolve issues with internal teams, auditors, and regulators
• Continuously refine risk management policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Right to work in the location
• On-site work environment
• Relevant risk management or quantitative experience (minimum 5 years)
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline

Nice to Have (Optional):

• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as FRTB and IRRBB
• CFA or FRM certifications
• Skills in Excel VBA, SQL, and Python
