Our client is a leading insurer. Seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join their insurance team located in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions, helping to enhance and develop new insurance products, streamline business processes, and support overall strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the insurance industry. You will be responsible for gathering and analysing business requirements, conducting gap analyses, facilitating workshops, and supporting system implementation projects. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyse and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand project goals and deliver solutions that meet business needs
  • Assess existing processes and identify areas for improvement to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams in the design, testing and implementation of systems and applications
  • Create and maintain project documentation, process flows, use cases, and user stories
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and support end-user training and onboarding
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies and data protection standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, operations and industry regulations
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies such as BPMN, Agile or Waterfall
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Fluency in English and Chinese
  • Experience with policy administration systems, claims management or digital transformation projects is advantageous
