Business Manager (Data)
Our client is a leading firm in the investment management industry that fosters a dynamic and professional culture, emphasizing excellence, integrity, and client focus. The role involves conducting detailed analysis and proactive monitoring of investor assets, flows, returns, strategy capacity, and fees across various clients and funds. You will be responsible for performance measurement, attribution analysis, and handling client-related quantitative data. Familiarity with risk models such as Barra, Axioma, Bloomberg, and proprietary approaches is expected. Additionally, you will support the creation of analytical and marketing materials, including charts and presentations like performance factsheets and newsletters, with a focus on impactful data presentation. Representing the organization professionally in internal and external communications, including interactions with clients, business partners, fund directors, and service providers, is a key part of this role. Over time, the position is expected to involve a high degree of client engagement, requiring articulate and presentable communication skills.
Role Overview:
This position supports the analysis, monitoring, and presentation of investment data within a professional team, playing a vital role in client engagement and decision-making processes.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably with an actuarial science background or relevant working experience
• 3-5 years’ experience in investment consulting, securities industry, or asset management focusing on data management and analytics
• Programming skills (preferred) and ability to work with various systems and programs
• Strong numerical skills and intuitive understanding of numbers
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Adobe PDF
• Familiarity with risk models and statistical knowledge is an advantage
• Native fluency in spoken and written English
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed analysis and proactive monitoring of investor assets, flows, returns, strategy capacity, and fees
• Perform performance measurement and attribution analysis
• Manage client-related quantitative data
• Develop and support marketing and business materials, including charts and presentations
• Create monthly performance factsheets and newsletters
• Assist in representing the firm professionally in correspondence with stakeholders
• Support client interactions and ensure clear, concise communication
• Collaborate with the team on analytical tasks and produce high-quality, impactful reports
Requirements:

• Degree in a relevant field, such as actuarial science
• Professional certifications such as CFA (preferred) or ASHK Certificate (preferred)
