Our client is a well-established financial institution with a growing presence in Hong Kong, focused on expanding its wealth management and private banking capabilities. With strong backing and strategic ambitions in the region, they are seeking an experienced Team Head to drive business growth, lead a high-performing team, and further develop their private wealth platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and grow a team of Relationship Managers to achieve business targets (AUM, revenue, client acquisition)
- Drive business development with a focus on High-Net-Worth (HNW) and Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) clients
- Formulate and execute sales strategies to expand the wealth management / private banking business
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching, training, and mentorship to enhance productivity
- Strengthen client relationships and actively participate in key client acquisition and retention efforts
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (product, investment, compliance) to deliver holistic wealth solutions
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Keep abreast of market trends and identify opportunities to enhance product offerings and client propositions
Requirements
- Degree holder in Business, Finance, or related disciplines
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in wealth management / private banking, with proven leadership experience
- Strong track record in managing HNW/UHNW client portfolios and driving revenue growth
- Solid understanding of investment products, including equities, fixed income, structured products, and insurance
- Demonstrated experience in team management, coaching, and business development
- Strong client network, particularly within the Greater China market, is highly preferred
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. HKSI, IIQE) required
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
