Our client is seeking a highly skilled C++ Developer with experience in market connectivity to join their team in Hong Kong. As part of their technology division, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing low-latency trading systems and connectivity solutions to major global exchanges. This role offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will work closely with traders, quants, and other technologists to deliver high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and support low-latency C++ market connectivity applications.
- Implement market data handlers and order routing logic to major global exchanges.
- Collaborate with traders and quants to understand connectivity requirements and deliver solutions.
- Optimise critical code paths for latency, throughput, and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
- Investigate and resolve production and performance issues.
- Keep up-to-date with relevant exchange protocol upgrades and network infrastructure changes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C++11/14/17), including STL and multithreading.
- Working knowledge of network programming (TCP/UDP/IP, sockets, multicast).
- Experience with exchange protocols such as FIX, OUCH, or other proprietary APIs is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in building low-latency, high-performance systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and performance tuning abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with Linux systems and scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
- Prior experience in financial services or trading environments is advantageous.
