Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated C# Software Developer to join our client's team based in Hong Kong. As part of a forward-thinking technology and data-driven organisation, you will be contributing to the design and development of low-latency, real-time applications used across a range of workflows. These applications play a vital role in Trade Entry, Position Management, Order Monitoring, Execution Platforms, and Risk and PnL summaries.
The successful candidate will work closely with end-users including Traders, Middle Office, Support and other Technology functions to gather requirements, build scalable and flexible systems, provide support, and offer training on new solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to shape high-performance applications used across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain real-time, low-latency server-side C# applications with strong performance and stability.
- Implement functionality across multiple business workflows including trading, risk, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with users across various departments to understand requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Provide ongoing support and training to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure well-documented, maintainable, and scalable code across multiple platforms.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' professional experience in software development.
- Strong recent experience with .NET C# on the server-side.
- Proven expertise with real-time messaging, low latency architectures, and multi-threaded environments.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in data aggregation, pivoting, and propagation strategies.
- Understanding of data visualisation tools and techniques in web frontends and Windows services.
- Technical proficiency in C#; familiarity with Typescript, JavaScript, and React is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of NodeJS, SignalR or equivalent technologies, WebSockets, and Electron preferred.
- Experience with charting libraries such as HighCharts, Infragistics Ignite UI, Material UI, and AG Grid is desirable.
- Familiarity with C++ considered a strong plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.
