We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Claims Officer with a focus on Property & Casualty to join our professional team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing complex liability and property claims, ensuring they are handled efficiently and in full compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving a variety of claims while maintaining accurate documentation throughout the claims process. A key part of your duties will include the analysis of data across Commercial portfolios to identify trends, assess risks, and support strategic decision-making. Attention to detail and a thorough understanding of insurance practices will be essential.
Responsibilities:
- Handle complex liability and property insurance claims with professionalism and efficiency.
- Analyse claims data and contribute to analytical reporting for Commercial portfolios.
- Evaluate insurance coverage, liability exposure, and damages to determine the appropriate course of action.
- Maintain accurate and thorough claim records in accordance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc claims status reports for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external service providers, and brokers to reach timely resolutions.
- Support continuous improvements in claims handling processes and systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in handling property and casualty claims within the insurance industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data reporting and trend analysis.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English; Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of relevant local insurance regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
