We are looking for a driven and detail-orientated Data Analyst to join our team to support the gathering, analysis and interpretation of market and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in helping translate data into actionable insights to support strategic decision-making across the organisation. You will collaborate closely with various departments to understand their data needs, provide analytical support and contribute to promoting a data-driven culture.
Key responsibilities include the compilation of market intelligence by collecting and analysing data from external sources such as market research, competitor reports, and customer and channel feedback. You will support in the preparation and presentation of reports that influence strategic initiatives. A significant aspect of the role involves the generation of insights through the use of data processing and visualisation tools. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining business-as-usual dashboards to aid senior management in their decision-making processes.
In addition, you will conduct regular market research and competitive analysis to provide comprehensive insights that align with key business goals. Staying abreast of industry trends and best practices is crucial to ensuring that intelligence gathering remains current and impactful. You will also contribute to fostering a culture of business intelligence by working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and to drive data-informed strategy development and customer-focused initiatives.
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Data Science or a related field. You must have prior experience in business intelligence or data analysis, ideally in a business analyst capacity. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets are essential, as is familiarity with interpreting marketing materials. Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI and SQL is required. Excellent command of written English and strong communication and presentation skills will support success in this role.
An insurance background and experience in research are advantageous. You should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
