Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in overseeing the strategic direction, operational management, and overall development of the Private Banking function.
  • Drive sustainable business growth, enhance profitability, and strengthen operational effectiveness in line with the Bank’s long-term objectives.
  • Provide senior oversight across Private Banking, Investment, Securities, Insurance, and Wealth Management businesses, ensuring full compliance with regulatory frameworks, internal policies, and HKMA standards.
  • Lead governance and risk oversight for private banking activities, including suitability assessments, AML/CFT controls, regulatory compliance, and operational risk management.
  • Act as a primary point of contact with regulators, auditors, and internal control teams on all private banking–related matters.
  • Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with key clients and business partners to support business expansion and strategic initiatives.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities and strategic projects as delegated by senior leadership.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the banking industry, with extensive exposure to Private Banking and Wealth Management; at least 8 years in a leadership or senior management role.
  • Mandatory holder of Insurance Responsible Officer (RO) licence; Securities Executive Officer (EO) licence is an advantage.
  • CPWP qualification is preferred.
  • Strong expertise in private banking products, investment advisory, securities, insurance, and wealth management solutions.
  • Solid track record in risk management, regulatory compliance, governance, and suitability frameworks within a private banking environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Hong Kong regulatory requirements, including SFC, insurance regulations, and AML/CFT standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with strong stakeholder management, business development, and team management skills.
  • Proficient in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English (written and spoken).
