Role Overview

As the Executive Director, you will spearhead the end-to-end product strategy and oversee the Investment Consultancy and Execution functions. This is a critical leadership mandate requiring a sophisticated blend of OTC product mastery, regulatory acumen, and advisory vision to deliver best-in-class solutions while maintaining an institutional-grade control environment.

Main Job Duties

1. Product Strategy & Lifecycle Governance

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle across equities, fixed income, mutual funds, structured products, and bespoke wealth management solutions.

  • Architect and execute a forward-looking product strategy aligned with macro business goals, shifting regulatory landscapes, and global market trends.

  • Drive institutional-grade product due diligence, risk assessment frameworks, commercial pricing models, and formal product approval processes.

  • Foster seamless cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Trading, Compliance, Risk, and Operations to guarantee flawless product rollouts and operational excellence.

2. Investment Consultancy & Portfolio Frameworks

  • Lead, mentor, and elevate the Investment Consultancy function, positioning the team as a high-value advisory partner for both sophisticated clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Establish institutional advisory frameworks, institutional model portfolios, and thematic investment strategies.

  • Oversee the generation of high-conviction market insights, tactical investment ideas, and tailored asset allocation proposals.

3. Execution Excellence & Portfolio Oversight

  • Oversee and actively participate, where appropriate, in complex portfolio and trade execution for client portfolios, guaranteeing flawless accuracy, absolute timeliness, and strict adherence to best-execution standards.

  • Implement and enforce robust internal controls, systemic documentation protocols for order handling, fair trade allocation, and rigorous post-trade reviews.

4. Regulatory, Risk & Compliance Stewardship

  • Ensure all investment products, advisory frameworks, and trading execution processes strictly comply with Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) regulations and internal risk policies.

  • Maintain an airtight documentation ecosystem, robust risk controls, and continuous audit readiness.

Job Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • Industry Track Record: A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in dealing or closely related market activities. Proven hands-on experience in OTC equity derivatives/products is strictly required.

  • Academic Excellence: Degree holder in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a highly quantitative equivalent. An educational background or specialized training in Quantitative Finance or Financial Technology (FinTech) is highly preferred.

Technical & Market Skills

  • Product Mastery: In-depth, structural understanding of complex OTC and structured products; coupled with a sharp awareness of global market trends and macroeconomic drivers.

  • Systems & Tools: Highly proficient in Bloomberg terminals and advanced Excel. Competency in VBA or related financial programming languages is strongly preferred to support quantitative advisory frameworks.

  • Regulatory Acumen: Deep working knowledge of regional regulatory requirements and compliance standards (specifically SFC frameworks) governing derivatives, structured products, and wealth advisory.

Language & Communication

  • Bilingual Fluency: Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Strong proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferred to effectively collaborate with regional stakeholders and clientele.
