We are currently seeking a dedicated professional to join our finance team in a contract role based in Hong Kong. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in finance to contribute to dynamic projects and support key business functions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Duties will also include supporting month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies, as well as liaising with auditors and external stakeholders. Additionally, the role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that aid in strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate financial reports and statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business planning.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Support the implementation of finance-related systems and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments to deliver high-quality financial support and reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA or CIMA are preferred.
- Solid experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis; prior experience in a contract or temporary finance role is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of local and international accounting standards (e.g. IFRS).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus.
