We are currently seeking an experienced finance professional for a strategic planning contract role based in Hong Kong. This is a high-impact position focused on financial forecasting, performance analytics, and long-term planning to support executive-level decision-making. The ideal candidate will be expected to provide actionable insights and develop strategic models that align with business objectives in a dynamic and competitive market environment.
This role requires a strong understanding of financial modelling, data interpretation, budgeting processes, and the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and strategic manner to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Experience in strategic consulting or financial planning within major industries will be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support key business decisions.
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and multi-year financial plans.
- Analyse complex financial data sets to inform long-term strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align financial plans with business objectives.
- Deliver insightful presentations and reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost optimisation through financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; relevant professional qualification (e.g. CPA, CFA) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in strategic or consultancy roles.
- Proven experience in strategic modelling, scenario planning and business performance monitoring.
- Exceptional analytical, Excel and data visualisation skills; experience with financial software and ERP systems is advantageous.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with the local Hong Kong financial regulations and business practices.
