Fund Operations Analyst
Our client is a financial organisation committed to supporting team development and collaboration. The role involves training on the process flow of backend operations for various financial products, including daily trade and cash movement bookings, fund reconciliations, settlement and payment processing, and liaising with third parties like fund administrators and brokers. The opportunity provides hands-on experience in fund operations, supporting the efficient management of multiple funds. This position is integral to ensuring accurate reporting, smooth settlement processes, and prompt resolution of issues within the fund operations team.
Role Overview:
The purpose of this role is to support daily fund operations, contribute to reconciliation and settlement activities, and assist in resolving reporting issues by liaising with third-party stakeholders and internal teams. It offers a valuable pathway to develop operational expertise within a dynamic financial environment.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in finance or fund operations
• Knowledge of financial asset classes: cash equity, swap, futures, option, bonds, FX
• Familiarity with fund accounting, including trading P&L, accruals, corporate actions/dividends, and balance sheet items
• Ability to work on-site and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in on-the-job training to manage process flow for backend operations of various products
• Perform daily reconciliations for multiple funds
• Support settlement and payment processing activities
• Liaise with fund administrators, brokers, and other third parties to resolve breaks and reporting issues
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver special requests and support operational needs
