We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our actuarial team, with a focus on Par (Participating) products within the insurance sector. This role is based in Hong Kong and offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the development, pricing, and management of Par products, applying actuarial knowledge and commercial insight in a complex and evolving market.
The ideal candidate will possess deep experience in actuarial modelling, financial reporting, and product development, specifically within the domain of Participating insurance products. Responsibilities include setting bonus strategies, monitoring fund performance, conducting profit-testing, and managing key assumptions used in valuation and pricing models. You will be expected to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including finance, marketing, investment, and risk management, providing actuarial input and insights that support sound business decisions.
You should be a qualified or nearly qualified actuary with strong technical skills in actuarial software such as Prophet or similar tools. A solid understanding of local regulatory and reporting requirements, including HKFRS 17, would be a significant advantage. Experience with stochastic modelling, asset and liability management, and portfolio optimisation of Par funds will further strengthen your application.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as the role involves presenting complex actuarial concepts to non-technical audiences and supporting senior management with strategic analysis and recommendations. A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to operate under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment will be key to success in this role.
