We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Actuarial Analyst specialising in Pricing to join our team within the insurance industry. This role is based on Hong Kong Island and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and optimisation of actuarial pricing models and methodologies that support our dynamic product offerings.

As a Senior Actuarial Analyst in our team, you will play a vital role in delivering pricing solutions for a wide range of insurance products. This includes performing actuarial analyses, building and maintaining pricing models, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven and sound pricing decisions. You will also support the development of pricing strategies, underwriting initiatives, and business planning through robust actuarial insight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain pricing models using actuarial software and tools.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify pricing trends and profitability drivers.
  • Support product development and pricing strategy by providing actuarial input.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, product, and finance teams on pricing initiatives and risk assessments.
  • Enhance existing methodologies to improve pricing accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and assist in repricing exercises where necessary.
  • Prepare actuarial reports and documentation in accordance with regulatory and internal standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Progress toward actuarial qualification with an internationally recognised actuarial body (e.g. IFoA, SOA).
  • At least 3 years of actuarial experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on pricing.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in actuarial software (e.g. Prophet, Radar, Emblem) and programming languages (e.g. R, Python, SQL).
  • Sound knowledge of insurance products and pricing techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; Cantonese or Mandarin would be an advantage.
