We are seeking a talented and motivated Python Quantitative Developer to join our dynamic technology team based in Hong Kong. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a collaborative, data-driven environment at the forefront of systematic and quantitative trading. In this position, you will play an integral role in building and enhancing critical components that drive trading strategies and research capabilities. You will work closely with quantitative researchers, traders, and other technologists to support, develop, and maintain high-performance systems tailored for electronic and algorithmic trading across a wide range of asset classes.
This role will involve designing robust and scalable architecture with a focus on code quality and performance. You will contribute to the development of a next-generation quantitative trading framework, supporting backtesting infrastructure, data management tools, and real-time trading systems. A successful candidate will bring new perspectives and experiment with emerging technologies to continuously improve system efficiency and capability. You'll be expected to take initiative, apply a scientific mindset to development, and create impactful tools that enhance research and trading outcomes.
Candidates should have 2 to 10 years of professional software development experience, with advanced proficiency in Python. A strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including clean code principles, testing, and version control, is essential. Experience with real-time or high-performance systems will be highly regarded, as will familiarity with quantitative applications. Exposure to other programming languages such as C++ or C# is a plus.
In addition, applicants should be comfortable working in a team-oriented environment, have excellent communication skills, and be proactively involved in the evolution of development processes. Familiarity with mature CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies is beneficial. The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, intellectually rigorous environment is crucial for success in this role.
This is a full-time position located in Hong Kong, Hong Kong Island. The salary is denominated in HKD and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
