Regional A&H Claims Manager

The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining compliance, supporting Underwriters, and driving continuous process improvements in a dynamic environment where stakeholder relationships and operational excellence are paramount.

Role Overview:
The Regional A&H Claims Manager is responsible for overseeing end-to-end claims processes within the region, ensuring effective management of claims, high customer satisfaction, and alignment with regulatory and internal standards. The role involves close collaboration with Underwriting teams, external vendors, and internal stakeholders to optimise claims performance and support risk management initiatives.

Key Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience in Accident & Health claims management or equivalent health claims leadership
• Strong knowledge of claims operations, medical documentation, and claims adjudication
• Experience managing multi-jurisdiction claims, preferably in HK and Singapore
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with a customer service focus
• Strong analytical skills for trends analysis and performance reporting
• Ability to interpret policies and regulatory requirements with a governance mindset
• Proficiency with claims systems and operational reporting tools
• Leadership experience in coaching and developing claims teams

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage regional A&H claims operations, including triage, investigation, decisioning, and settlement
• Monitor and improve claims performance metrics such as turnaround times, quality, and expense management
• Ensure claims are handled in compliance with policy, regulatory, and internal procedures
• Drive service excellence through clear communication and escalation processes
• Collaborate with Underwriters to provide claims insights, identify trends, and support risk assessment
• Maintain audit readiness and ensure claims documentation standards are met
• Lead and develop Claims teams across the region, fostering continuous improvement in workflows and processes
• Oversee the performance of outsourced claims vendors, ensuring SLA adherence and quality standards

Requirements:
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in claims management
• IIQE – BCP qualification required
• Ability to speak Cantonese is important for understanding the local market and providing insights to Underwriters
• Experience working with medical and health claims, with a good understanding of policy wording and regulatory standards
• Right to work in Hong Kong and Singapore
• On-site availability in the region

Nice to Have (Optional):
• Experience with fraud detection and investigation practices
• Insurance certifications or industry credentials related to claims or underwriting
• Familiarity with integrated claims-to-underwriting environments
