We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Regional Actuarial Auditor to join our team based in Hong Kong. This role is pivotal in ensuring the actuarial integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency of our regional actuarial frameworks and practices. The successful candidate will conduct specialised audits across various business units with a strong focus on accuracy, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.

As a Regional Actuarial Auditor, you will be responsible for assessing actuarial models, assumptions, and methodologies to ensure they align with both internal standards and external regulatory requirements. This includes reviewing reserving practices, embedded value reporting, capital modelling, pricing procedures, and Solvency II or Risk-Based Capital frameworks as applicable. Additionally, you will evaluate controls related to data quality, governance, and actuarial reporting processes. Providing actionable insights and recommendations to management will be essential to improve actuarial risk management and control frameworks across the region.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in actuarial science or a related discipline, with a professional actuarial qualification (such as FIA, FSA, or equivalent). A minimum of five years' relevant experience in actuarial auditing, actuarial consulting, or within a life or general insurance environment is required. Prior internal audit or risk management experience would be a distinct advantage. You must have a deep understanding of reporting and valuation practices, statistical analysis, and the use of actuarial modelling software such as Prophet or AXIS. Experience working within the Asian market, particularly in a regional context, is highly desirable.

Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential, as you will work closely with both local and regional teams, presenting complex findings to non-technical audiences. The ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines is crucial. Fluency in written and spoken English is required, and proficiency in Chinese or another Asian language would be beneficial.

This position offers a competitive salary in HKD, and an opportunity to join a dynamic environment where your actuarial expertise and auditing skills can make a significant contribution. If you are motivated by rigour, objectivity, and a commitment to continuous improvement, we invite you to apply for this challenging and rewarding opportunity.
