Overview
This role supports reinsurance operations across treaty and facultative business, ensuring accurate processing, controls, and timely reporting. You will work closely with underwriting, finance, claims, and external reinsurance partners to maintain high-quality data and documentation within reinsurance processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end reinsurance administration, including 再保账单 (reinsurance billing), premium and commission calculations, and reconciliation.
- Maintain and interpret 再保合同 (reinsurance contracts), endorsements, and related documentation; ensure compliance with contractual terms and internal policies.
- Operate and optimise 再保系统 (reinsurance systems), ensuring data integrity, accurate posting, and appropriate controls.
- Coordinate bordereaux processing, cash allocation, and follow-up on outstanding balances with brokers and reinsurers.
- Support claims-related reinsurance activities, including recoveries, notifications, and tracking of recoverable positions.
- Prepare operational and management reporting, including KPIs, ageing, and exception analysis.
- Assist in audits, internal reviews, and process improvement initiatives to strengthen governance and efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in reinsurance operations, accounting, or technical processing within the insurance industry.
- Working knowledge of treaty and facultative arrangements, billing, and contract administration.
- Experience using reinsurance systems and strong Excel skills; ability to analyse data and resolve discrepancies.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, including confidence liaising with internal stakeholders and external counterparties.
- Fluency in Mandarin is essential; English proficiency is required for documentation and cross-border communication.
- Degree in finance, accounting, insurance, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience); professional qualifications are advantageous.
