We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Risk Engineer with a specialisation in Property risk to join our team in Hong Kong. This role is essential in supporting our insurance operations by providing expert analysis and assessments on property-related risks. The successful candidate will guide clients in loss prevention and contribute valuable insights to underwriters to help shape effective insurance policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct property risk assessments.
- Identifying and evaluating potential hazards and their financial impacts.
- Develop and present risk mitigation and loss prevention strategies to clients.
- Support underwriters with risk data, analysis, and recommendations for policy terms.
- Use technical expertise in construction, electrical, or mechanical systems to assess risks.
- Analyse claims histories and risk data to forecast future exposures.
- Deliver client consultations and training on property risk management practices.
- Evaluating physical risks across various types of properties.
- Identify potential hazards.
- Detailed reports outlining the financial implications of identified risks.
- Advising clients on loss prevention strategies and recommending practical solutions.
- Influence risk mitigation.
- Ensure that properties are better protected against unforeseen events.
- Supporting underwriting decisions by supplying comprehensive data
- Supporting analysis to assess the insurability of a property.
Key Requirements:
- Excellent time management, prioritisation and organisational skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Fluent in written and spoken English at a native level.
- Strong technical proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and database management systems.
- Background in engineering or relevant technical discipline preferred.
- Experience in insurance or risk engineering highly advantageous.
