We are seeking an accomplished Vice President/Assistant Vice President for Sales & Client Coverage in Global Commodities, based in Hong Kong. This position is suited for experienced relationship managers from both Chinese and foreign banks looking to transition into a dynamic commodities business setting.
The role will involve developing new client relationships, managing account openings, conducting periodic client reviews, and maintaining strong ongoing client engagement. You will be responsible for co-ordinating marketing events and managing a wide range of counterparty relationships. Providing transaction support and reviewing client and counterparty risk limits will be essential duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage client relationships, including account opening and regular client reviews.
- Organise and support marketing events; nurture and expand counterparty relationships.
- Deliver accurate and efficient transaction support to clients.
- Monitor and review trading risk exposures and client risk limits.
- Support business and product development initiatives.
- Regularly assess market dynamics and identify potential market risks.
- Undertake tasks as delegated by supervisors and management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commodities marketing, with strong client network resources.
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulations and compliance standards related to commodities trading.
- Demonstrable professionalism, high sense of responsibility, strong work ethic, and integrity.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) is essential.
