We are seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager with strong expertise in data-focused project delivery within the banking industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of data projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while aligning with the institution's regulatory and business objectives.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Data Governance, Business Intelligence, Risk, Compliance, and IT Security. Your role will also include engaging with stakeholders across various business units to ensure technical solutions meet business requirements and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for data-centric projects.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans and manage resources, schedules, risks, and issues.
- Ensure strong governance through documentation, tracking, and reporting of progress and metrics.
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure data architecture and solutions align with enterprise standards.
- Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation.
- Adapt quickly to evolving data regulations and ensure compliance across all deliverables.
- Facilitate agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies depending on the project requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on data initiatives in the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
- Proven experience with tools and platforms such as SQL, data warehouses, ETL, cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure), and reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple interdependent technology projects in a complex banking environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are advantageous.
- Familiarity with local and international data privacy regulations such as GDPR and HKMA standards.

Salary: HKD 60,000 per month
