Overview
This senior pricing role leads the development and execution of pricing strategies to drive profitable growth, strengthen competitiveness, and support commercial decision-making. You will partner closely with Sales, Finance, Product, Operations and senior stakeholders to ensure pricing governance, disciplined deal management and robust performance monitoring across channels and customer segments.
Key responsibilities
- Own end-to-end pricing strategy, including price architecture, positioning, discount frameworks and margin improvement initiatives.
- Lead pricing analytics: price-volume-mix, margin bridge, win/loss and elasticity analyses; translate insights into actions.
- Establish pricing governance and approval workflows; ensure consistent application of policies and controls.
- Support complex bids and negotiations with scenario modelling, deal scoring and risk assessment.
- Develop and maintain pricing models, tools and dashboards; improve data quality and standardisation.
- Monitor market and competitor movements; recommend pricing responses and value propositions.
- Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting and profitability reporting; ensure alignment with commercial targets.
- Coach and develop junior pricing analysts; contribute to capability building and best practice.
Requirements
- Significant experience in pricing, revenue management, commercial finance or strategic analytics in a relevant industry environment.
- Proven track record of delivering margin and growth outcomes through pricing initiatives and disciplined governance.
- Strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel; experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI/Tableau) and pricing systems is desirable.
- Solid understanding of contract terms, discounting, channel dynamics and key commercial KPIs.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders, challenge constructively and communicate complex analysis clearly.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business or similar; a relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Fluent English; Mandarin capability is beneficial for local stakeholder engagement.
