Settlement - VP

Our client is a dynamic organization operating within the securities brokerage and wealth management sectors, fostering a professional and collaborative work environment. This role involves supporting key operational functions including static data administration, post-trade processing, settlement, cash management, and nominee services. You will be tasked with reviewing and refining operational policies, providing expert support to business teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The position is vital for maintaining efficient, compliant, and innovative operational processes, contributing to the company’s growth and success.

Role Overview:

The Settlement - VP plays a critical part in managing and enhancing the organisation’s operational infrastructure. This senior role supports system enhancements, process automation, and new product launches while fostering a high-performance team environment. You will also contribute to strategic reporting and problem-solving to ensure smooth and compliant operations within the wider team.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in securities brokerage and wealth management industries
• Strong knowledge of securities processing systems such as CCASS, DCASS, Euclid, CMU, and CMT
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proven project management skills with advanced IT knowledge are preferred
• Proficiency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua), both written and spoken

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director in managing key operational functions including static data administration, post-trade processing, settlement, cash management, and nominee services
• Review and refine operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Provide expert support to Front Office and Business Teams on operational inquiries and issues
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to resolve operational problems promptly
• Drive process automation initiatives to streamline workflows and boost productivity
• Participate in developing and implementing new products and business processes, ensuring proper controls and resources prior to launch
• Support system enhancements through user acceptance testing and deployment
• Assist in managing team performance and fostering a high-performing work environment
• Prepare management reports and conduct ad-hoc analyses as needed

Requirements:
