We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect with extensive experience in cloud technologies, specifically focusing on Alibaba Cloud (Alicloud). This role is based in Hong Kong and offers a competitive salary paid in HKD. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering end-to-end technical solutions tailored to business needs, with a particular emphasis on cloud infrastructure, application integration, and data services within the Alicloud environment.
The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures. You must demonstrate a deep understanding of Alicloud services, including but not limited to ECS, RDS, OSS, and VPCs, and have a proven track record of solution delivery on this platform. You will work closely with both internal teams and external clients, translating business objectives into detailed technical solutions, and guiding implementation teams through deployment phases.
In this role, you will be expected to provide technical leadership, define best practices, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and security standards. You will be responsible for evaluating and recommending cloud solutions, performing architectural reviews, and identifying areas for performance optimisation, scalability, and resilience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Key qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with significant experience architecting solutions using Alicloud. Industry certifications such as Alicloud Professional or Expert-level certifications are highly desirable. Familiarity with other cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is advantageous but not required. Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or Shell scripting, and knowledge of DevOps tools and practices will also be viewed favourably.
