Credit Analyst, SME/Corporate

Role Overview:
The Credit Analyst, SME/Corporate position is pivotal within the credit risk team, responsible for assessing the underlying risks of credit applications, performing detailed financial analyses, and approving credit proposals within delegated authority. The role ensures that credit decisions align with internal policies and external regulations, contributing to the organisation’s overall financial health and compliance.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a credit analyst with relevant credit analysis and bills operation training
• Sound knowledge of local economic/industrial conditions, banking laws & practices
• In-depth understanding of import & export operations and related lending products offered by banks
• Good analytical and report writing skills with strong credit judgment
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and under pressure with limited time
• Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Proficiency in PC skills
• Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• Professional qualifications such as HKICPA, ACCA, CFA, FRM are preferred
• Holder of ECF on Credit Risk Management is preferable
• Candidates with more experience may be considered for Senior Manager or AVP roles
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess all underlying risks of credit applications
• Conduct cashflow analysis, projections, and peer comparisons using relevant information from internal and external sources
• Coordinate with Corporate/Business Managers on matters related to credit applications; clarify with commercial officers as needed
• Provide comments on special approvals and date postponements where applicable
• Monitor credit issues, follow up on concerns, and conduct interim reviews of accounts as required
• Track turnaround times for credit proposal processing
• Approve credit applications within delegated authority
• Perform other duties delegated by the Section Head
