Cloud Governance Manager

Role Overview:
The Cloud Governance Manager plays a key role within the organisation’s cloud and risk management teams, ensuring all cloud services operate within established governance frameworks. The role involves assessing risks, managing cloud assets, and driving compliance initiatives to support the organization’s strategic goals.
Key Skills & Experience:
• University degree, preferably in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years’ experience in the banking industry or financial institutions
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in cloud governance, compliance, and risk management within cloud environments
• Solid understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, Alicloud, etc.) and industry standards
• Strong project management, problem solving, and leadership skills
• Cloud certifications or related professional qualifications
• Fluent in spoken Cantonese; proficient in written and reading English
• Ability to comprehend regulatory guidelines, market practices, and online materials
• Ability to work independently and under high-pressure situations with self-motivation
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive cloud governance framework aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Develop, implement, and enforce cloud governance policies and procedures for security, privacy, and operational standards
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with cloud operations, ensuring compliance within risk tolerances
• Oversee the inventory of cloud resources, ensuring accurate documentation and asset management
• Collaborate with technical teams to assess capacity needs and report on resource utilization to align with business objectives
• Manage relationships with cloud service providers and external partners, ensuring SLA adherence and governance compliance
• Provide training and resources to technical teams and stakeholders on cloud governance policies and best practices
• Continuously monitor cloud operations to ensure standards are met and implement improvements as needed
Requirements:
• University graduate, preferably with a major in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years’ experience in the banking industry or financial institutions
• At least 2 years in cloud governance, compliance, and risk management within cloud environments
• Solid understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, Alicloud, etc.) and industry standards
