Role Overview
The Enterprise Architect works closely with regional and global peers to drive demand management, coordinate architecture studies, and ensure adherence to architecture standards. This role acts as a key point of contact for all architecture matters across transformation projects within Asia-Pacific, with occasional globally coordinated initiatives. Success involves supporting project teams throughout the application lifecycle, maintaining architecture blueprints, and promoting best practices in functional and application architecture.
Key Skills & Experience
- Lead functional and application architecture studies, translating business requirements into technology blueprints.
- Manage and coordinate architecture activities for transformation projects, ensuring compliance with global standards.
- Review and validate architectural aspects of various initiatives, following design principles.
- Communicate project and architecture status to business and IT stakeholders.
- Support the development and support of enterprise systems in a global context, particularly in Pre-Trade, Post-Trade, or End-to-End processes.
- Collaborate with cross-regional teams and stakeholders on project delivery, ensuring seamless architecture integration.
- Support and promote architectural governance, standards, and best practices.
- Maintain documentation in line with internal tools and global standards.
- Explore new technologies and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive IT demand management from business sponsors and IT stakeholders.
- Coordinate functional architecture studies and technical relevant investigations for project launches.
- Uphold architecture standards, blueprints, and documentation practices across the region.
- Provide business analysis and support for project requirements, ensuring technical solutions meet business needs.
- Act as a gatekeeper for architecture validation, recertification, and documentation updates.
- Build and present project summaries and technical studies at relevant forums, including the Design Authority.
- Facilitate collaboration among global teams for project delivery and architecture alignment.
- Support application lifecycle management, including validation and documentation.
- Promote best practices and new technologies for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong functional and/or technical background with a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Experience supporting, developing, and/or implementing global enterprise systems, especially in Pre-Trade, Post-Trade, or End-to-End processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively at business and technical levels.
- Experience in architecture, design, build, support, or analysis roles in technology projects.
- Proficiency in collaborating with global teams and managing stakeholder requirements.
- Proven record of working in Agile, TDD, and continuous delivery environments.
- Development experience in C#, Java, or Python is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Markets Products (FIC or EQD) will be an advantage.
- Ability to work onsite in Hong Kong.
- Valid right to work in Hong Kong.
- Experience working in multicultural and regional environments.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
