The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with monthly financial reporting, supporting the preparation of financial statements and regulatory submissions, and providing insightful variance analysis. You will also work closely with internal departments to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data, whilst ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of finance transformation projects.
  • Support actuarial and finance teams in delivering quarterly and year-end closing processes.

  • Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and strategic planning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements relevant to the insurance sector.
  • Collaborate with auditors and external consultants, providing necessary documentation and analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of internal controls.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline. Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent are highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, preferably within the life insurance sector.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS 17 and other insurance-related accounting frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle or similar is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills with an aptitude for process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; knowledge of Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Ability to manage priorities and perform under pressure in a project-driven environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is looking to contribute to meaningful financial initiatives within a leading life insurance context. While the base salary is not specified, a competitive package and contract renewal opportunity will be offered based on performance and project needs.
