Fund Accountant, India Entities

Role Overview:
The purpose of this role is to manage and deliver comprehensive fund accounting services for India-based entities. The successful candidate will support financial reporting, compliance, and operational processes essential to the organisation’s financial health and regulatory adherence.
Key Skills & Experience:
• 3+ years’ experience in Fund Accounting
• Nearly or qualified in a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Experience handling Indian entities, including tax filings (GST, TDS, corporate tax)
• Strong understanding of fund structures and accounting principles
• Excellent Excel skills with the ability to interpret financial data
• Experience with audit processes, preferably with Big 4
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee fund accounting for India-based entities, including trading entities
• Review management accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and review corporate tax returns, including GST and TDS filings
• Manage regulatory filings and ensure compliance with local requirements
• Handle payments and coordinate with internal teams and external providers
• Maintain accurate records across multiple legal entities
• Support financial statements, audits, and reporting requirements
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and global teams to resolve issues and improve processes
• Contribute to controls, reporting enhancements, and operational efficiency
• Potential to oversee additional non-India entities over time
Requirements:
• Right to work in the specified location
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in fund accounting
• Nearly or fully qualified in a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Experience with Indian tax filings (GST, TDS, corporate tax)
• Experience handling Indian entities is essential
• Degree in a STEM, Accounting, Finance, or Economics discipline with an excellent academic record
• Ability to work independently within a lean team
Nice to Have:
• Investment management experience or relevant fund administration background
