The Infrastructure Project Manager (Technical PM) contract oversees the planning, initiation, and delivery of key infrastructure projects within the organisation. This role requires ensuring project success through effective management of scope, schedule, and budget while liaising with stakeholders. The position involves coordinating cross-functional teams and maintaining project documentation to meet timelines and standards.
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience in planning, initiation, execution, monitoring, and closure of infrastructure projects
- Ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), and schedules using industry-standard tools such as Confluence and Jira
- Knowledge of Agile methodology for defining project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and develop contingency plans
- Manage project changes through a formal change control process
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant standards
Nice to Have
- PMP, PRINCE2, ACP, or other relevant project management certification
Role Overview
This contract role focuses on managing infrastructure-related projects such as network upgrades, server migrations, data center consolidations, cloud deployments, and office relocations. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for project updates, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication. The role requires collaboration with different teams to ensure project milestones are achieved within scope and budget. Working arrangements are hybrid, and the project is short-term, primarily focused on urgent deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, initiation, and execution of infrastructure projects, maintaining detailed schedules and documentation
- Develop, monitor, and update project plans, work breakdown structures, and schedules
- Identify, assess, and develop contingency plans for project risks and issues
- Manage project scope, schedule, and costs, ensuring delivery within agreed parameters
- Act as the main communication point for project status, risks, and escalations with stakeholders
- Facilitate project meetings, document action points, and distribute minutes
- Track and report on project financials, including hardware, software, labor, and vendor expenses
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Availability to start on 13/07/2026
- On-site work location required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically on IT or infrastructure projects
- Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
