Mechanical Engineer

Role Overview:
The Mechanical Engineer plays a vital role in designing and supporting mechanical systems for various projects. The position involves producing detailed mechanical design packages, developing design standards, and collaborating across engineering disciplines to ensure project success. It is essential for maintaining high standards of quality and innovation within the organisation's manufacturing and automation efforts.

Key Skills & Experience:
• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 10+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Proficient in 3D CAD software systems, with Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Mandarin
• Experience reading blueprints and understanding machine fabrication and machining processes
• Ability to develop new design concepts and standards
• Capable of designing functional machines within set standards and specifications

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the development of new design concepts and standards
• Produce mechanical designs and detailed prints meeting engineering standards and project specifications
• Collaborate with electrical engineers on mechanical/electrical interfaces
• Update and complete documentation throughout the engineering process
• Estimate and manage workload to align with project schedules
• Review designs with senior engineers, SMEs, and manufacturing personnel
• Support fabrication, assembly, and installation processes
• Attend sales and customer meetings as required
• Assist in machine installation or troubleshooting at customer sites
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures

Requirements:
• Right to work in the designated location
• Experience with automation, consumer electronics, or related manufacturing sectors (desirable)
• Ability to work on-site
• Willingness to support projects throughout the entire lifecycle
