Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quant Developer to join their dynamic team based in Hong Kong. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and finance, developing sophisticated models and tools that drive trading strategies and optimise performance.

As a Quant Developer, you will collaborate closely with quantitative analysts, traders, and software engineers to design, develop, and implement quantitative models used in financial applications. You will be responsible for building efficient code, ensuring high performance and scalability, as well as maintaining and enhancing existing strategies and systems. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, deep programming knowledge, and a passion for financial markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quantitative models and tools to support trading strategies.
  • Collaborate with quantitative researchers and traders to translate mathematical models into high-performance code.
  • Design and maintain robust, scalable, and low-latency software systems.
  • Continually improve system efficiency, code optimisation, and performance.
  • Conduct backtesting, simulation, and performance analysis of trading algorithms.
  • Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and proper documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong programming skills in C++, Python, or Java, with experience in scientific computing or numerical analysis.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
  • Experience with financial markets, trading systems, or quantitative modelling preferred.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and version control tools such as Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
