Relationship Manager, Commercial Banking (SME)

Role Overview:
The Relationship Manager in Commercial Banking (SME) will be responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of SME clients, primarily Taiwanese businesses, with additional engagement in clients from Mainland China and Hong Kong. The role involves providing tailored banking solutions, conducting credit assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. It also plays a key part in client acquisition and supporting the growth and development of Assistant Relationship Managers.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline
• 3–5 years of experience in corporate banking within the SME sector
• Proven relationship management and business development skills
• Fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin, with basic working proficiency in English
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data and market trends
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage a portfolio of SME clients, focusing on Taiwanese enterprises and supporting clients from Mainland China and Hong Kong
• Deliver high-quality service and maintain long-term client relationships
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive networking
• Promote a full suite of corporate banking products, including trade finance, derivative solutions, and general financing
• Tailor banking solutions to meet clients’ specific business needs
• Conduct comprehensive credit assessments and prepare financing proposals in line with internal policies
• Ensure adherence to KYC/AML regulations, maintain accurate documentation, and stay updated on industry developments affecting SME clients
• Support the growth and training of Assistant Relationship Managers by providing guidance and coaching
