Senior Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking (Asia market)

Role Overview:

The Senior Relationship Manager will be responsible for sourcing new corporate clients, expanding the bank’s presence across target segments, and maintaining high-level relationships with key decision-makers. This role plays a vital part in driving revenue through advisory and origination activities across lending, trade finance, cash management, FX, and structured cross-border financing. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to deliver holistic solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk frameworks.

Key Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of Corporate Banking or Institutional Banking experience

• Proven track record in new business acquisition (hunter profile)

• Strong client network within target segments such as ASEAN corporates, China cross-border businesses, NBFIs, family offices, and large conglomerates

• Solid product knowledge in corporate banking and capital solutions

• Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin preferred)

• Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership and results-driven attitude

• Excellent client management, communication, and negotiation skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively identify, originate, and onboard new-to-bank corporate clients

• Develop and execute targeted business development strategies across multiple segments

• Build and maintain senior relationships with CFOs, Treasurers, Investment Heads, and other decision-makers

• Drive revenue through advisory and origination efforts across corporate lending, trade finance, liquidity solutions, FX, and structured financing

• Collaborate with internal product specialists and execution teams to deliver tailored banking solutions

• Stay informed on market trends, sector developments, and client needs

• Ensure all client activities comply with regulatory, risk, and compliance standards

• (Optional for candidates interested in leadership) Recruit, mentor, and manage junior Relationship Managers to enhance team performance and client acquisition strategies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related disciplines

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Corporate or Institutional Banking

• Proven new business acquisition skills with a strong network in target segments

• Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin preferred)

• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

• On-site presence required in Hong Kong
