Role Summary
A prominent Hong Kong-based banking institution with strong Mainland China roots is seeking a high-caliber Senior Relationship Manager to join its Overseas Sovereign Business team. This strategic role focuses on cultivating and managing relationships with public sector clients across international markets, contributing to the bank’s continued growth in the sovereign and quasi-sovereign space.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development initiatives targeting sovereign, quasi-sovereign, and supranational clients across overseas and local markets.
- Manage a portfolio of institutional clients, including government agencies, public sector bodies, and international organizations.
- Collaborate with internal product teams to deliver bespoke financial solutions that align with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the full client lifecycle, including credit analysis, KYC/AML compliance, onboarding, and ongoing relationship management.
- Monitor market developments and client activities to identify new opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience in relationship management, preferably within financial institutions or the public sector.
- Proven expertise in managing overseas sovereign clients and navigating cross-border financial services.
- Strong knowledge of banking products, capital markets, and regulatory frameworks.
- HKSI Papers 1, 7, and 8 are highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.
