We are seeking a skilled and experienced Solution Architect to join our client's team in Hong Kong. This role is critical in leading clients through complex technology modernisation initiatives, focusing on migrating legacy systems to modern core banking platforms, particularly those aligned with Chinese banking structures and backend solutions.
This position requires experience in presenting business cases, demonstrating how proposed architectures align with both technical viability and strategic business goals. You must be comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced consulting environment, contributing to multiple projects simultaneously. Working alongside consultants and internal stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and validating business case scenarios as part of the overall solution design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and design end-to-end architecture for large-scale digital transformation projects within the core banking sector.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into well-structured architectural solutions.
- Create detailed documentation and visually engaging presentations to support proposals and communicate with stakeholders.
- Develop and validate business cases to support strategic technical decisions.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles and industry best practices.
- Participate in project planning, risk assessment, and solution implementation strategy sessions.
- Liaise regularly with consultants and internal business units to ensure effective execution and deliverables.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Solution Architect role within banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of legacy and modern Chinese core banking systems and backend technologies.
- Excellent presentation skills with expertise in PowerPoint and other visual communication tools.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and presenting sound business cases.
- Solid consulting background with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus).
