We are seeking an experienced professional with 3-5 years of expertise in Asset and Liability Management (ALM) to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of financial risk management principles, particularly interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and capital management within financial institutions. This position is based in Hangzhou (hz), Zhejiang, China, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment within the industry.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in ALM frameworks, regulatory requirements (including Basel III/IV), and reporting standards. Responsibilities include the analysis and management of balance sheet risk, development of ALM strategies and models, and close collaboration with treasury, finance, and risk departments to ensure robust risk-adjusted decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain ALM models and tools to monitor and forecast balance sheet behaviour.
  • Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis, and simulation of interest rate and liquidity risk.
  • Support the Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) with analytical insight and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements for ALM and liquidity management.
  • Contribute to internal reporting, including interest rate sensitivity analyses and liquidity gap reports.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to influence business strategy through effective ALM practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in ALM, treasury, or risk management within a financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments, balance sheet structure, and regulatory ALM requirements.
  • Familiarity with ALM systems and modelling tools such as QRM, FTP systems, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to management.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; experience in using VBA, SQL, or Python is a strong plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or ACT are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Chinese regulatory ALM and liquidity standards.
  • Experience working in both local and international financial environments.
