We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as an FP&A (Assistant Manager) within the Life Insurance industry. This role plays a crucial part in supporting business performance through robust budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes, while aiding strategic decision-making across our insurance and wealth management products.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering insightful financial analysis to management, identifying trends and opportunities to improve profitability, and ensuring high standards in performance reporting. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including actuarial, product, and operations, to ensure alignment across financial plans and strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation and consolidation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Analysing and interpreting financial results, variance analysis, and communicating key findings to senior stakeholders.
- Developing and maintaining dashboards and models to support real-time business decision-making.
- Enhancing the monthly management reporting framework and contributing to the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
- Partnering with business units to understand key drivers and propose actions to optimise financial performance.
- Assist in preparing monthly management reports under HKGAAP for both company level and parent group reporting
Requirements:
- Experience in financial data analysis and knowledgeable in IFRS 17 is an added advantage
- Strong analytical skills and financial modelling capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experienced in using financial tools such as Excel, Power BI, and other reporting/dashboard platforms.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
