Product Owner

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Owner to join our dynamic team in the insurance sector based in Kowloon, Hong Kong. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering innovative insurance solutions by managing product development and aligning cross-functional teams with business goals.

In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders, developers, UX designers, business analysts and other internal teams to ensure that product objectives are clearly defined, prioritised, and delivered on time. You will act as the voice of the customer, ensuring that the end product meets user needs and contributes to the overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and maintain the product backlog, ensuring clarity and prioritisation based on business value and customer feedback.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop product roadmaps and define key deliverables and timelines.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
• Work closely with development teams throughout the product lifecycle to ensure accurate delivery of feature requirements.
• Lead sprint planning meetings, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
• Continuously gather user feedback to enhance features and improve user satisfaction.
• Monitor market trends, competitor products, and make data-driven recommendations for product enhancements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product management role within the insurance or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
• Proven track record of delivering digital products from concept to launch in a regulated environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using product management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
