We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team in the insurance industry, based in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and enhancing digital solutions aligned with business goals.

In this role, you will gain an in-depth understanding of existing business processes and collaborate with stakeholders to define use cases and user stories for digital applications. You will be responsible for gathering and analysing business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and ensuring that software development teams have a clear understanding of the necessary features and functionality.

You will also develop clear and comprehensive acceptance criteria to ensure the quality and accuracy of application releases. This will involve performing system testing, supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), and verifying that the delivered solutions meet business expectations.

As a member of our agile environment, you will report directly to the Lead Business Analyst and work closely with cross-functional teams, including business units, software developers, testers, and designers. Your ability to facilitate effective communication and collaboration is vital to the successful delivery of innovative digital capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and document business processes, systems, and workflows
  • Understand business process and define the business requirements in the form of use cases / user stories
  • Develop and manage acceptance criteria to support quality assurance processes
  • Conduct gap analysis and identify areas for process improvement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers
  • Support system testing and user acceptance testing
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet business needs and comply with regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in defining user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
