We are seeking an experienced AVP - FRR Reporting professional to join our team based in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering high-quality financial reporting in compliance with the Financial Resources Requirements (FRR) as specified by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and other regulatory bodies.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in regulatory reporting, financial control, and project management within the financial services industry. You will be expected to interface with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams, to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Your responsibilities will also encompass the oversight and enhancement of reporting processes, controls, and systems to achieve operational efficiencies and compliance with changing regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review FRR reports and ensure accurate and timely submissions to regulators.
- Liaise with internal departments and external auditors to address queries related to regulatory reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and global policies.
- Support the implementation of new regulatory changes, including interpretation of requirements and systems enhancements.
- Drive process improvements and control enhancements within the reporting function.
- Participate in finance projects including system migrations, automation initiatives, and regulatory upgrades.
- Assist in the development and delivery of management reports and regulatory analytics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA) strongly preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in regulatory or financial reporting in the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of the FRR framework and other local regulatory reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with IFRS and local financial reporting standards.
- Strong analytical skills with a detailed orientation and ability to handle complex data sets.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities; able to work independently under pressure.
- Experience with financial systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP, or other reporting solutions) is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
