We are seeking an experienced Cloud Solution Architect to join our client's technology team based in Hong Kong. This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong background in enterprise and solution architecture to play a pivotal role in designing, governing and securing scalable cloud-based systems for a leading organisation in the insurance industry.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading technical architecture efforts for cloud transformation projects, helping to define strategy and deliver scalable, secure and efficient cloud infrastructures. You will act as a technical leader, collaborating closely with development teams, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure cloud solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust, secure, and scalable solutions within Azure, AWS, or AliCloud environments.
- Serve as the architectural authority and provide guidance on cloud adoption, migration strategy, and implementation planning.
- Ensure governance and security protocols are realised across cloud ecosystem implementations.
- Collaborate with technical project managers and engineering teams to identify and resolve integration and performance challenges.
- Contribute to resolving traffic-related and performance bottlenecks through innovative solution design.
- Liaise with stakeholders to align technical solutions with strategic business goals in the insurance domain.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in solution architecture and/or enterprise architecture within a corporate environment.
- Previous exposure to roles similar to technical lead or project manager with strong delivery focus.
- Insurance industry experience is essential.
- Deep hands-on expertise in cloud technologies, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Alibaba Cloud (AliCloud).
- Demonstrable experience in addressing and solving architectural challenges in traffic-heavy systems.
- Strong governance and security knowledge within cloud and hybrid environments.
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English as the primary working language.
- A corporate mindset is preferred; candidates from startup environments may not be suitable for this role.
