Director - FICC Quantitative Analyst

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Director - FICC Quantitative Analyst. This strategic role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in quantitative modelling, financial engineering, and data analytics to support the development of innovative trading strategies, risk management frameworks, and asset valuation models.

The successful candidate will lead a team of quantitative analysts and work closely with trading, risk, and technology teams to identify opportunities and provide robust analytical solutions. This is a critical position that plays a key role in driving performance and supporting strategic decision-making within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement quantitative models for trading, risk assessment, and asset valuation.
  • Analyse large datasets to generate actionable insights and support investment strategies.
  • Lead model development and performance monitoring processes to ensure robustness and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and risk teams to understand business needs and tailor models accordingly.
  • Communicate complex quantitative findings clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and manage junior quantitative analysts, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree (PhD or Master's) in Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a quantitative role within the financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, MATLAB, C++, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments, markets, and derivative pricing models.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and lead technical teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical applications.
  • Experience with machine learning and data science techniques is advantageous.
