We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of IPMI to spearhead our client's International Private Medical Insurance operations. This role requires strong leadership, industry expertise, and a deep understanding of IPMI products and markets. The successful candidate will drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our IPMI strategy to support business growth across global markets.

The Head of IPMI will be responsible for overseeing product design, pricing, underwriting, and claims operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with commercial objectives. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and building key relationships with external partners including brokers, reinsurers, and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the global IPMI strategy to grow market share and profitability.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IPMI products from market research, product development, compliance, to launch.
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team across product, actuarial, underwriting, and claims functions.
  • Ensure alignment with local regulations in all jurisdictions of operation and maintain a proactive approach to compliance.
  • Establish and manage performance metrics, driving process efficiency and service excellence.
  • Foster close working relationships with distribution partners and clients to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to inform strategic decision-making and contribute to long-term business planning.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the IPMI or health insurance sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of international health insurance regulations, industry practices, and market dynamics.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience developing profitable products and managing P&L.
  • Demonstrable expertise in leadership, team-building, and change management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and make data-informed decisions.
  • Degree in business, insurance, actuarial science, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications (e.g., ACII, MBA) preferred.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required to support business operations and partnership development.
