Located in Hong Kong Island, this role offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic internal audit team specialised in Markets Activities within one of the largest financial institutions globally. With a competitive salary offered in HKD, the successful candidate will be instrumental in evaluating and enhancing the effectiveness of internal control, risk management and governance systems focused on Markets Activities.

The role involves participating in audit assignments and special reviews, contributing to assignment planning, and developing a robust understanding of the business activities under review. The auditor will assess risk exposure, evaluate controls, and recommend improvements to senior management. Additional responsibilities include reviewing the implementation of audit recommendations and participating in the periodic risk assessment and audit planning process for Markets Activities, whilst staying informed of regulatory developments.

The ideal candidate will hold a university degree in Banking, Economics, Finance or Risk Management and possess a minimum of five years’ experience in Markets Activities or related control functions. A strong technical background in Markets Activities, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to produce high-quality written reports in English are essential. The candidate should demonstrate curiosity, rigour, and precision, with the ability to summarise complex topics effectively. Strong initiative and the ability to work under pressure are vital, as is a cooperative and constructive approach to teamwork.
