We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Global Transaction Banking team as VP, Trade Sales. This strategic role offers an exciting opportunity to lead client engagement and deliver innovative solutions across trade finance with a particular focus on Bank Guarantees and Factoring.

The successful candidate will be responsible for originating and structuring trade finance solutions tailored to the needs of corporate clients, financial institutions, and multinational businesses. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across relationship management, product, compliance, risk, operations, and legal functions to ensure seamless execution and delivery of bespoke client strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Coverage & Origination
    • Develop and manage a portfolio of corporate and institutional clients, identifying opportunities in trade finance.
    • Drive solution-based sales by introducing trade finance products, alongside liquidity and payment solutions.
  • Trade Finance Solutions
    • Structure and deliver Bank Guarantee, Factoring, and working capital optimization solutions to support clients’ risk mitigation and financing needs.
  • Sales Process Management
    • Prepare and present client proposals, coordinate RFP responses, and manage end-to-end deal execution.
  • Market Intelligence
    • Monitor industry trends, client activities, and competitor offerings to ensure market-relevant solution development.
  • Risk & Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk frameworks during all client engagements and transactions.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in transaction banking, with strong exposure to trade finance sales
  • In-depth knowledge of Bank Guarantees, Factoring, and related trade finance instruments, as well as cash and liquidity management solutions.
  • Proven track record of structuring and closing complex client solutions across corporate and institutional sectors.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Degree-level education in Finance, Business, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, ACT) are a plus.
  • Sound understanding of regional regulations and market practices in Asia-Pacific, particularly Hong Kong.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin preferred.
