We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Pricing Assistant Manager/Manager. This role is based in Kowloon, Hong Kong, and provides an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment within the financial services industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and managing pricing strategies for a variety of products, providing exposure to multiple lines of business including life, health, and general insurance products.
Key responsibilities include supporting the pricing team in delivering accurate and competitive product pricing, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives, and assisting in the implementation of pricing tools and models. You will be expected to conduct profit testing, sensitivity analysis, and scenario development to assess financial and risk implications. Regular contributions to pricing reviews and product development initiatives are also expected. This role involves a close collaboration with teams such as actuarial, product, distribution, and compliance.
The ideal candidate should have solid pricing experience with different product exposures. Strong actuarial knowledge and proficiency in actuarial software and Excel are essential. Progress towards fellowship of a recognised actuarial organisation (such as the FSA or equivalent) is highly desirable, and candidates who are already designated as FSA will be preferred. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively, are critical to success in this position.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in actuarial pricing, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Exposure to pricing across different product lines such as life, health, or general insurance.
- Progress towards fellowship qualification (FSA or equivalent), or fully qualified actuary preferred.
- Strong technical skills in Excel, actuarial modelling software such as Prophet, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – in English.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in product development and profitability analysis is an advantage.
