We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Actuarial Analyst / Assistant Manager to join our pricing team based in Hong Kong. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic actuary with 4–6 years of relevant experience to contribute to the development and maintenance of pricing models and strategies.

In this role, you will focus on supporting the pricing of individual life insurance products, including but not limited to traditional life, critical illness and savings solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product development, risk management and marketing, to ensure that our pricing approach remains competitive, financially sound and aligned with regulatory requirements and business strategy.

Key responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing actuarial pricing models, conducting profitability analysis, experience studies and scenario testing, and preparing pricing reports and documentation to support internal governance and external regulatory submissions. You will also be expected to contribute to new product ideation and develop a solid understanding of the local insurance market landscape.

Experience in Investment-Linked Assurance Schemes (ILAS) will be considered a strong advantage. You should be comfortable handling actuarial software and have a strong command of programming tools such as Excel, VBA, SQL or R. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and possesses strong communication skills to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • 4–6 years of actuarial experience in life insurance pricing or product development
  • Progress towards qualification with a recognised actuarial association (e.g. FIA, FSA, etc.)
  • Proficiency in actuarial pricing tools and software (e.g. Prophet)
  • Strong technical skills in Excel and at least one programming language (e.g. VBA, R, Python or SQL)
  • Proven ability to perform detailed data analysis and interpret results in a commercial context
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Experience in ILAS or unit-linked products is a plus
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

This full-time position is based in Hong Kong. Please note that while the listed salary is HKD £0 per year, compensation will be consistent with your background, level of experience and industry benchmarks.
